The Bangladesh Cricket Board's independent complaints committee to address sexual harassment and ensure a safe environment for female cricketers has started work with four members, with a former cricketer set to join as the fifth. Barrister Rashna Imam heads the committee; Barrister Nazia Kabir, Barrister Anita Gazi Rahman and Zarin Mahmud Hossain are also members.
Committee secretary Chandra Banerjee told Cricbuzz the panel was set up in line with a 2009 High Court directive and that keeping BCB personnel off it is intended to shield investigations from internal influence and conflicts of interest. The BCB says it has zero tolerance toward abuse and sexual harassment and has circulated the policy in the women's wing, with a complaint banner on its website. A workshop is planned to open a direct line between the committee and cricketers.
