PCB blocks Pakistan players' Abu Dhabi T10 NOCs over $10,000 fee
The PCB has asked the Abu Dhabi T10 league to pay $10,000 for each No-Objection Certificate it issues to Pakistan players, leaving their participation unlikely days before the tournament starts.
Pakistan players' participation in the Abu Dhabi T10 is highly unlikely after the PCB blocked No-Objection Certificates unless the league pays USD 10,000 for each NOC it issues. The tournament is scheduled to start on November 7.
The Abu Dhabi T10 management applied for NOCs soon after the player draft on September 30, but the PCB communicated the fee demand only at the start of this week, according to officials. As many as 16 Pakistan cricketers were picked by five of the six teams. Some players were reportedly planning to pay the fee from their own salaries if team owners refused; teams are now exploring replacement players.
The PCB withheld NOCs for the Nepal Premier League last month while asking for USD 25,000 per player. The board has not responded to queries.
