CSK explore Liam Livingstone move as SRH weigh IPL trade
Chennai Super Kings are exploring a move for England all-rounder Liam Livingstone, but Sunrisers Hyderabad are undecided and no deal has been finalised, according to Cricbuzz.
Chennai Super Kings are exploring a move for England all-rounder Liam Livingstone, with at least one other franchise also interested, but Sunrisers Hyderabad have not decided whether to agree a trade, Cricbuzz reported.
Livingstone, 33, was bought by SRH for INR 13 crore at the last auction after Royal Challengers Bengaluru released him. He played only two games last season, scoring 15 runs before losing his place in the playing XII.
According to the report, CSK are among the franchises discussing a swap, while another northern franchise has also shown interest. The identity of the players offered to SRH is not known, and sources described the talks as involving multiple players and franchises rather than a simple two-club exchange. One suggestion has been Khaleel Ahmed moving to SRH, but Cricbuzz said that information may not be entirely credible, especially as SRH recently acquired T Natarajan.
'Multiple players and multiple franchises are involved in the trade discussions, not just two, and nothing has been finalised,' a source was quoted as saying. 'It may or may not go through.'
The IPL retention deadline is November 17, which could force movement in the coming fortnight. SRH officials were not available for comment when the report was published.
