Adam Milne took 4 for 19 from four overs and was named Player of the Match as New Zealand beat India by seven wickets in the fifth T20I at Seddon Park, Hamilton, on 1 November.
Milne struck with his first ball to have Abhishek Sharma caught at mid-on for 1. He removed Sanju Samson with the first ball of his second over, leaving India 19 for 2, and conceded just four runs across his opening two overs. India were restricted to 191 for 8, with Milne also dismissing Nitish Kumar Reddy and Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the final over after conceding nine runs in the 17th.
Ishan Kishan made 61 and Shreyas Iyer 50 in a 93-run third-wicket stand, but Milne's control kept the total within reach. Tim Seifert struck 93 off 50 balls and Glenn Phillips finished unbeaten on 65 off 38 as New Zealand chased the target with two overs to spare.
Milne returned to the New Zealand side for the India series after missing the T20 World Cup 2026 through injury. He played four of the five matches and now has 71 wickets in 60 T20Is; his 4 for 19 was his second-best T20I return after 5 for 26 against Sri Lanka in 2023.
